TCEB’s 11-Year Support for ADFEST to Advance Thailand’s Creative Economy and Thailand 4.0 Policy

Bangkok, 7 March 2018: Mrs. Nichapa Yoswee, Senior Vice President – Business, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), addressed to the audience attending the press conference of ADFEST 2018 held recently in Bangkok. The Senior Vice President of TCEB highlighted TCEB support for ADFEST since 2008 which has continued for the 11th year now as part of its mission to help develop home-grown conference into an international event. More importantly, TCEB is determined to use business event as a tool to help advance creativity excellence, which is the key and the core of ADFEST, in forming the basis to transform Thailand into an creative and innovation-based economy in accordance with the government’s Thailand 4.0 policy. Joining the press conference were representatives from Asia Pacific Advertising Association, Department of International Trade Promotion of Ministry of Commerce, Advertising Association of Thailand and ADFEST Local Organizing Committee.

As a home-grown event, the 21-year-old ADFEST made the debut in 1998 as a platform to exchange, share, promote, motivate and develop creative ideas and excellence among advertising agencies and related parties in the Asia Pacific. The annual event has grown exponentially from a mere attendance of 200 delegates in the first year to over 1,000 delegates from more than 30 countries in the past five years and has been billed as Asia’s most celebrated creative festival, affirming international recognition of its profile as a prestigious event to advance and elevate creativity for advertising, media, digital and related professionals, including product and service providers looking for marketing channels.

ADFEST is becoming a signature event of Pattaya as it has been regularly hosted in the seaside city. The 2018 edition will again be hosted at Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) during 21-24 March. It is expected to attract around 1,300 delegates from across the world with an estimated spending of 84 million baht.
