Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) led by the President, Mr. Nopparat Maythaveekulchai (third from right), attended a press conference recently organized by Bangkok ACM SIGGRAPH Association to announce its readiness to host SIGGRAPH Asia 2017 at BITEC in Bangkok during 27-30 November 2017. Asst. Prof. Dr. Surapong Lertsithichai, President of Bangkok ACM SIGGRAPH Association (second from right), which was supported by TCEB in making a successful bid for this event in May 2016, said that it will be the first time that the Asian version of the US’ biggest computer graphic conference, SIGGRAPH, will be hosted in Thailand. The conference which focuses on the development of computer graphics and interactive techniques is expected to attract over 7,000 delegates from Asia, United States and Europe. Representing research sector, academia, studios, such as Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, Industrial Light and Magic, as well as, Digital Domain, the delegates will share, exchange and learn the ideas, updates, and techniques of the industry through the conference’s various platforms: computer animation festival, workshop & courses, technical papers & symposiums and exhibitions.
