Thailand to Host FAPA Congress for the 5th Time

Thailand has been selected to host the 26th Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA) Congress which will take place during 9-13 November 2016 in Bangkok. During the recent press conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sindhchai  Keokitichai (eighth from left), President of the Pharmaceutical Association of Thailand (PAT), which will be hosting the congress said that this is the fifth time Thailand has been the host, making the country hosting the largest number of FAPA Congress. The reasons behind the return to Thailand are the fact that FAPA Congress in Thailand always attracts larger number of delegates than targeted and PAT would like to build up a momentum of advancing pharmaceutical profession at the Asian level following PAT hosting FIP World Congress in 2014 in Bangkok. Supported by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the 26th edition of FAPA Congress will attract over 1,500 delegates from around 20 countries in Asia who will convene under the theme “Integrating Asian Wisdom for Better Global Health”. With the theme, PAT will highlight Thai herbs as an effective alternative for pharmaceutical development and disease treatment.
