TCEB Seize More on Chinese Exhibitions Market Offering Extra Benefits to Expand Business in ASEAN

27 April 2016/ Beijing, People’s Republic of China - The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau or TCEB held Thailand-China Business Forum 2016 in Beijing, People’s Republic of China to attract more exhibition and trade visitors from China offering extra benefits to expand business potentials in ASEAN region through Thai-land’s exhibitions platform under its new global marketing communication initiative; ‘Thailand Extra Exhibition.’

Speaking at the Thailand-China Business Forum 2016, Mrs. Jaruwan Suwannasat, Di-rector of Exhibitions and Events Department of TCEB disclosed that “In 2016, the ASEAN region enters a new chapter of economic integration. China is in an attempt to strengthen its role as a partner for ASEAN. Thailand’s exhibition industry will perform as another milestone of achievement in building relationship particularly in enhancing trade ties between China and the Kingdom of Thailand. Thailand’s today shift to become ASEAN’s capital of connectivity due to the recent government’s infrastructure development and expansion project to seamlessly link ASEAN and verge as a regional’s powerhouse of production and export where will enable Chinese businesses to expand their market to the ASEAN.’

China is Thailand’s top source and key partners in many aspects from trade, investment to the exhibitions and trade fairs. The bilateral ties between Thailand and China have been tightened since the signing of China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and dramatically increased. In 2015, the bilateral trade between Thailand and China have reached more than US$64.8 billion adding that Thailand was China 15th largest trading partner last years while China is Thailand’s 2nd largest trading partners.
