TCEB UNVEILS NEW SUBSIDY SCHEME

STIMULATING DOMESTIC MEETINGS TO RECOVER INDUSTRY

21 July 2020, Bangkok: TCEB launches new subsidy scheme to encourage more domestic meetings and incentives. The new scheme is aimed at assisting MICE operators facing the loss of overseas business and stimulating the national economy.

Mr. Salanroj Sutaschuto, Director, Central and Eastern Region Office for Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, stated that the government has a policy to encourage state agencies and the private sector to hold meetings, seminars, incentive trips and other related corporate events as part of the effort to distribute the income and restore the economy. As a national agency for MICE industry, TCEB has, thus, crafted and launched new subsidy scheme under the theme “Thailand a Safer Place for Meetings” to stimulate domestic MICE market which will make up for the loss of overseas business due to COVID-19 pandemic.
