EMD Programme Structure

The seminar is divided into four stages totalling 150 class hours. A renowned group of international instructors and exhibition industry experts from Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Switzerland, and The Netherlands will lead the course’s on-site seminars and e-learning sessions.

Face-to-Face Seminars
Two on-site six-day EMD seminars will be organized during each programme. The on-site course seminars could be held in two different geographic locations during each EMD programme.

E-Learning: On-going contact with professional instructors and exhibition experts
Two e-learning sessions link the on-site educations seminars. A distance learning platform allows participants to continue the programme via internet connection. EMD participants are able to communicate directly with programme experts from a variety of professions ensuring that individual contact and support is provided.

UFI-EMD Courses

The full UFI-EMD course includes the following modules:

M1 (On-site) – Basics in Exhibition Management I: Introduction into the Meeting Industry, Congress Management, Project Management for Exhibitions, Exhibition Marketing, Risk Management.

M2 DL (E-Learning) – Basics in Exhibition Management II: Public Relations, Sponsoring, Special Event Marketing, Participation in Exhibitions – the Exhibitor View, Service Strategy and Organization, Catering, Stand Building, Interpretation.

M3 DL (E-Learning) – Advanced Studies in Exhibition Management I: Market Research, Customer Relationship Management, E-Marketing, Agencies, Information Management.

M4 (On-site) – Advanced Studies in Exhibition Management II: Controlling, Finance and Accountancy, Treasury, Strategic Management, Intercultural Management, Special Event Management, Exhibition Logistics.

Terms and Conditions
  1. UFI- Exhibition Management Degree (UFI-EMD)
    1.1. Application
    Applications to attend our UFI-EMD courses and modules must be made in written form.
    1.2. Completion within three years
    The participant has to complete the UFI - Exhibition Management Degree (UFI-EMD) within three years time from the first participation. The participant will be excluded from the UFI-EMD  Programme after three years time and therewith loses his/her right to complete the UFI-EMD Programme.
    1.3. Seminar fees
    Seminar fees are as displayed on the first page of the registration form. Seminar documents, training tools, working material, lunch and drinks during the seminar and breaks are included in the seminar price.
    1.4. Payment deadline
    The booking of the UFI-EMD course and the single module is to be made four weeks before the start of the desired UFI-EMD course/module.
    1.5. Change of course
    The participant has the right to change the UFI-EMD course. In case of a course change, the participant has to pay a handling/arrangement fee of 150 € to the STZ-ECE.
    1.6. Replacement of student
    Replacement of a contract partner is permitted only before the start of the course and not after the beginning.
    1.7. Cancellation policy for the contract partner
    In case the contract partner cancels registration for the UFI-EMD course, the following cancellation fees must be paid to the host of the UFI-EMD course:
    • Cancellation before the beginning of Module1: 250€
    • Cancellation after completion of Module1: Fee for Module1 & 2 (single prices) and redemption of the remaining course fee.
    • Cancellation after completion of Module1 & 2: No redemption of the remaining course fee.
    1.8 UFI-EMD Certificate
    The UFI - Exhibition Management Degree is completed when the participant has successfully completed each of the four modules. The participants will receive a UFI-EMD Certificate for their graduation after successful completion. For the attendance of single modules the participant will receive a certificate of attendance.
  2. The validity of our conditions
    2.1. Our conditions are valid and we do not accept other conditions from our business partners which are disadvantageous for us.
    2.2. These terms and conditions must be read, understood and accepted.
